PURPOSE
CONCEPT 1
We want to create an app, where you metaphorically and literally (in the app:)) would shoot the arrow to the place of Rotterdam you want to visit and it would pop up with suggestions of what you could do in that area, what are interesting places to see, where are the nicest paths to walk, parks to visit and so on.
In these times when signs are telling you where you can go or not, put control on your fully free wander, still the main fun to have is going for a walk. But we want to take advantage out of that. Instead of directing people to stay on the right path of the street we want to aim them to interesting places to visit in Rotterdam (also working with the research about feelings induced by distinct surroundings).
The same as arrows were once shooting humans to evolving, now they are going to do the same thing - will take people out their homes, out of their every day walking paths and will direct to something, new, unseen and interesting.
CONCEPT 2
During the coronavirus stickers of arrows on the ground, signs of them on windows, walls became a thing which is really influencing our walking directions. This experience does not relate with a pleasant feeling (control, worry (from data base)), makes you more aware of the amount of people next to you, how close they are and so on.
in our app arrows would gain another colour, something that is directing you, not in a controlling way, but intriguing, inspiring. You would choose one of the paths of emotions (which are based on data base) and follow it on maps, start noticing interesting little aspects of the city. We think in these times, when walking became one of the main ways of entertainment, influencing it to be more exciting could make people's lives more lively, unexpected.

Concept 2
The amount of COVID-19 signs, especially now, when places are reopening, is increasing. From arrows on the ground, circles in the grass or signs on walls. Sadly, these needed and reasonable markings are sometimes neither working efficiently and clearly nor making people feel comfortable (both from data base and interview it is clear that coronavirus signs are related to negative feelings). With this project we are searching for new, simple and interesting ways to remind people about social distancing.

Pandemic is already overpowering and monotonic period, why to expose it even more with COVID-19 signs?
